Finished Tiger!

Tiger

This is the latest painting I have been working on.

Definitely a work in progress but I feel it is going well so far. Am trying working directly into a dark background rather than mapping out then painting in the background. Has been fun.

Portraits

These are my most recent work, to be honest I have been slacking, I shall blame it on the cold weather. Bit lame but never mind. So with the sun I start work again. Have just made a new canvas for a shiny new painting as well :)

Portrait :)

Apologies for not posting for a while. Things have been a little hectic but thankfully I had a portrait to be working on.  This was a birthday present.

Wedding Cake

Dazed and Refused

Dazed and Refused kicked off again yesterday night with a very enjoyable private view. Was a really good turn out and the standard of work was really high again! Check out http://www.dazedandrefused.com/refused/Home.html to see all the entries for this year and more information about the exhibit.

Wedding Cake

This is the top layer of a wedding cake I am making. It is a fruit cake, the other two layers are still to come as they are chocolate and lemon they have to made nearer the time, still 3 weeks to go.  So in-between working I have been working on the icing decorations. I think I have the top sorted now with the main decoration in place and then can work on the petal placement later. I've just put them on to get an idea of what it might look like.

And it all started out as humble ready to roll icing, these are the beginnings of making the roses and petals.
